About Project
Noble Parks and Pool was recently commissioned to build a swimming pool, water feature waterfall, and softscaping greenery around the pool in Karen, Nairobi. The pool area was located on a slightly sloping piece of land surrounded by pine trees and a green lawn.
The Noble Parks and Pool team overcame the challenges posed by the sloping land, acacia trees, and green lawn by eliminating acacia trees and planting pine trees for that tropical appeal in the compound, installing lawn grass to improve the greenery to surrounding vegetation during construction.
The result is a beautiful and functional swimming pool area that is now a popular gathering place for the family and their friends. We also worked on a small waterfall next to the homestead towards the backyard to complement the greenery.
Noble Parks and Pool is proud to have been a part of this project. We are committed to providing our customers with the highest quality swimming pool construction and maintenance services in Kenya.
Challenges & Solutions
The project faced a number of challenges due to the estate’s strict rules and the presence of mature trees. However, the team was able to overcome these challenges by using specialized equipment and techniques, working long hours, and installing sustainable construction features.
Challenges:
The main challenges faced during the development, design, and construction of the outdoor living space were:
Construction work is typically noisy, but the estate rules in Karen, Nairobi, Kenya, place strict restrictions on noise levels. This posed a challenge for the Noble Parks and Pool team, as they needed to find a way to build the pool, waterfall, and softscaping greenery while minimizing noise pollution.
The estate also has rules regarding working hours, which further challenged the project timeline. No construction work is allowed on weekends or holidays, so the team had to carefully plan their schedule to ensure that the project was completed on time.
The estate has strict rules in place to protect its sewage and water runoff systems. This posed a challenge for the team, as they needed to find a way to build the pool and waterfall without overwhelming these systems.
The team had to design the landscaping to ensure that water was efficiently drained away from the pool and waterfall area.
Solutions:
The solutions that were implemented to overcome these challenges were:
To minimize noise pollution, the Noble Parks and Pool team used specialized equipment and techniques. They also worked during the hours when noise levels were allowed, as stipulated by the estate rules.
To meet the project deadline, the team worked long hours during the week. They also coordinated with the estate management to obtain special permission to work on some weekends.
To conserve water, the team used a rainwater harvesting system to collect and store rainwater for use in the pool and waterfall. They also installed water-efficient irrigation systems.
To ensure efficient drainage, the team installed a series of French drains around the pool and waterfall area. They also graded the landscaping to direct water away from these areas.
Outcome
Despite the challenges, the Noble Parks and Pool team successfully built a beautiful and functional swimming pool, water feature waterfall, and softscaping greenery. The project was completed on time and within budget, and the end result has exceeded the expectations of the client.
